How do i change the power steering fluid step by step?

i have a ford explore 97 and the power steering is very dark brown color so i guess is time for a fluid change but the thing is i dont want to spend any money cus i have no money so i decide to do it myself but i need to know what are the steps to do it.How do i change the power steering fluid step by step?
The tool that is used for it is basically useless after listening to people with much more knowledge than me. I used to use it all the time.

Their recommendation and I believe the best is use a turkey baster empty the resevoir and fill with fresh and repeat in probably 200 miles. Then keep doing that until the fluid is clean, the benefit of this way is it slowly cleans your pump and other components. If you just flush it there is still all the build up and the fluid will turn black again in no time.

I would also recommend automatic transmission fluid because it has more detergents in it.How do i change the power steering fluid step by step?
Drain the fluid through the hoses. Refill with new fluid. Start engine. Turn wheels back and forth. Drain again.....repeat until fluid is all clean.

Mechanics have a tool to do it. It flushes the system with new fluid until it comes out clean.
